Nolensville is a quaint community located in the northeast corner of Williamson County. It has grown over the centuries into a small town where community meetings are still held on a regular basis and regular events include festivals and Veterans Day celebrations. It’s a historic town that has managed to hold onto that small town feel and has a lot to offer people who choose to invest in Nolensville real estate.
Nolensville was founded by William Nolen in 1797. Traveling with his wife and five children, William Nolen stopped to take in the surroundings. Noting the rich soil and natural resources, he decided that it was a good place to build their home. The town was incorporated in 1839, and it was re-incorporated in 1996. Historic buildings that still exist in this area include the Waller Funeral Home built in 1876, the Nolensville Mill Company built in 1890, and the Home Place Bed & Breakfast which was built in 1820.
